Bring Your Experience to Storm King Theater
Storm King Theater is a venue for creators.
Musicians, performers, visual artists, filmmakers, storytellers, comedians, speakers, cultural organizations, multimedia artists, exhibitors and other creators are welcome to use Storm King Theater to present their own artistic experiences.
Storm King Theater may occasionally produce a limited number of artistic experiences, but this is not something we are actively pursuing at this time. Our primary goal is to make the venue available to artists and creators who want to organize and present their own work.
Your Event. Your Art. Your Ticket.
For independently organized artistic events, Storm King Theater is the venue and the artist or organizer is the renter.
You create the experience, determine your ticket price and manage the artistic direction of the event. Storm King Theater can sell tickets on your behalf through our Box Office platform and include the event within our calendar and ticketing experience.
If you would like to offer your event free to the public, you are welcome to do that as well.
A Theater That Can Change With Your Idea
Our theater is designed to be flexible.
We have 50 cinema chairs, but the room is modular and can accommodate experiences that extend beyond a traditional 50-seat cinema configuration. Seating can be added, removed or rearranged depending on the event, and the open floor can be used for dance, movement, performance or interactive experiences.
Depending on the concept, the theater can be configured for traditional seated audiences, expanded or tighter seating arrangements, lounge-style setups, standing-room experiences, open-floor performances, cabaret-style layouts, full-service food and beverage experiences, multimedia presentations, exhibitions and other custom configurations.
The space does not have to function like a traditional movie theater. We can work with creators to determine the setup that best supports the experience they want to create.

Your preferred date or date range
Estimated event length
Expected audience size
Your preferred seating or room configuration, such as cinema seating, expanded seating, lounge seating, cabaret-style seating, standing room, open floor, dance floor or another custom setup
Your typical or proposed ticket price, if admission will be charged
Whether you plan to offer the event free to the public
Any technical, staging, sound, lighting, projection or equipment requirements
Any custom setup or breakdown requirements
Whether you want food and beverage service as part of the experience
Whether the event requires tables, lounge furniture or other furnishings
Any accessibility considerations we should plan for
Anything else that would help us understand how you envision the event
From there, we can discuss availability, rental rates, ticketing, setup options, staffing and what would be required to bring your experience to Storm King Theater.
